The main application range of supercritical carbon dioxide technology
Carbon dioxide can be said to be the most widely used supercritical fluid at present. This is mainly because it has no toxicity, low critical temperature and low price. In recent years, the most attractive research fields are mainly in the extraction of functional components, fiber dyeing technology, semiconductor cleaning, dry cleaning technology for particle production of special medicinal ingredients, chemical reaction and supercritical fluid cleaning technology, etc. The following is the application scope of common supercritical carbon dioxide in various industries
(1) The food industry
A. extraction of vegetable oils (soybean oil, sesame oil, palm oil, cocoa fat, corn oil, rice bran oil, wheat germ oil, etc.)
B. Extraction of animal fats (fish oil, liver oil, various aquatic oils); Degreasing of food raw materials (rice, noodles, poultry eggs)
C. Separation and purification of lipid mixtures (glycerides, fatty acids, lecithin, etc.)
D. Decolorization and deodorization of oils and fats
E. Extraction of plant pigments and natural aroma components
F. decaffeinated coffee, black tea
G. Extraction of hops
H. Concentration of fermentation alcohol
(2) Pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry
A. Extraction of higher fatty acids (EPA,DHA, dehydroascorbic acid, etc.) in fish oil
B. extraction of higher fatty acids (y-linolenic acid, etc.) from plants or bacteria
C. Extraction of medicinal ingredients (alkaloids, flavonoids, fat-soluble vitamins, glycosides, etc.)
D. Extraction of spice ingredients (animal spices, vegetable spices, etc.)
E. Extraction of cosmetic raw materials (skin-beautifying agents, surfactants, fatty acid esters, etc.)
F. Nicotine removal from tobacco
(3) Chemical industry
Common applications of supercritical carbon dioxide technology include dry cleaning industry in traditional industries, fiber dyeing technology, chemical reaction and semiconductor cleaning technology in high-tech industries. Traditional dry cleaning industry is facing the pressure of organic solvent, ethylene perhydrogen acid (percholoretviene), on health and environmental protection. Many major related industries are also constantly seeking alternative methods.
